SpeleoMap is made by Alpine First Day Cover LLC ("AFDC"). It includes software from the companies and open-source projects below, used under their licenses. Thank you to everyone who builds and shares them.

1. Thermal Camera Software

The thermal camera features use the Atlas SDK, licensed to AFDC by Teledyne FLIR. The SDK is the property of Teledyne FLIR and is not open source. Teledyne FLIR, FLIR, FLIR ONE Edge and FLIR ONE Edge Pro are trademarks of Teledyne FLIR, LLC. SpeleoMap is not made or endorsed by Teledyne FLIR. See Section 14 of the Terms.

2. FFmpeg

The thermal video features use libraries from FFmpeg 8.0.1 (libavcodec, libavformat, libavfilter, libavdevice, libavutil, libswresample and libswscale), included with the Atlas SDK and linked dynamically.

3. LIVE555 Streaming Media

4. zlib

5. Map Data

The Standard, Hybrid and Satellite hike maps use Apple Maps through Apple’s MapKit. Map data is supplied by Apple and its data providers; the Legal link on each map lists them.

The Topo hike map adds tiles from OpenTopoMap, licensed CC-BY-SA and rendered from OpenStreetMap data, on top of the Standard Apple map.

OpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap are open, community-run projects. Their map data and map style are free to use under the open licenses below, with credit. SpeleoMap shows that credit on the map, keeps a local copy of tiles it has loaded, and does not bulk-download tiles from their servers.

6. Your Rights Under the LGPL

The LGPL libraries above are separate, dynamically linked libraries. You may get their source code from the links above, and you may replace them with modified versions under the terms of the LGPL. To ask for a copy of the exact versions included in SpeleoMap, email support@speleomap.com.

7. Names and Links

Apple, iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple Maps and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. National Speleological Society, NSS, and the names of grottos, conservancies, survey programs (such as Survex, Therion and TopoDroid) and other organizations belong to their owners. SpeleoMap uses them only to identify those products and groups. Unless stated otherwise, SpeleoMap is not made, sponsored or endorsed by any of them. Links to outside websites are provided for convenience; AFDC does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content.
