The Program
How it works
AFDC distributes a portion of SpeleoMap subscription proceeds to registered 501(c)(3) organizations as charitable contributions. Distributions are discretionary — not guaranteed amounts, not user-directed donations.
In-app directory
Registered organizations appear in the SpeleoMap organization picker. Every new subscriber selects their affiliated organization at signup. Selection is locked at signup.
Use of funds
Distributions must go toward your organization's 501(c)(3) mission — conservation, exploration, training, equipment, education, or similar speleological activities.
To Qualify
Federally recognized 501(c)(3) status in good standing
Mission aligned with speleology — cave exploration, conservation, education, mapping, or rescue
An officer with authority to sign agreements on behalf of the organization (Chair, President, Treasurer, or Secretary)
A US bank account in the organization's legal name capable of receiving ACH deposits
Completed application packet — Conservation Agreement, W-9, Banking Information, and IRS Letter of Determination
Registration and distributions are at AFDC's sole discretion. Listing in the app directory does not guarantee a distribution. Distributions are not charitable contributions made by subscribers — no subscriber tax deduction is issued. AFDC may modify, suspend, or discontinue the program at any time.
