Temperatures

Stations, reading temperatures, emissivity, other cameras.

On a station: Ties thermal shots to where you took them.
From a station, thermal photos and video go on that station, and a thermal clip gets its end station like a LiDAR clip. The Thermal pin (Drop Station, Media, Thermal) opens straight in Thermal. Otherwise they're free media; assign them later from the viewer.
Read temperatures: Works on any iPhone, so shared thermal photos stay readable.
Thermal photos and videos carry a thermometer icon in Media (ThermDAR shows the LiDAR icon too), and Thermal only in the filter shows just them. Open one and tap Temperature (the thermometer at the right of the tool line), then tap anywhere for the temperature there: up to six spots (a seventh starts over), in °C or °F by your units. Save keeps them as a note; the eraser clears them.

On a photo, the palette menu recolors it. On a video, it reads the nearest temperature frame to where you paused; scrub to read another moment. It works on any iPhone, FLIR or not, so a thermal photo you share can still be read. More in Media Tab and Viewer.

Emissivity: Each photo keeps its value; shiny surfaces always read wrong.
How well a surface gives off heat, which sets how true the temperature is. In Settings, Media, Thermal, Surface (or the surface button in the camera): Rock 0.95 (to start, right for most cave rock), Wet rock / water 0.96, Mud 0.94, or Custom. Each thermal photo keeps the value it was taken with. Shiny or metal surfaces read wrong at any setting.
Other cameras: Imports keep date, location and any depth.
Photos and video from any other camera, including a thermal camera that saves to a card, an action camera or an SLR, come in through Import on the Media tab: Pick Files (the camera or card reader shows under Locations) or From Photos. They keep everything in the file, including the date, location and any depth. See Media Tab and Viewer.
