Open and Move Around

Open a line, move around, the compass, gizmo and scale bar.

Open it: Where to find a line and pick a view.
Tap a line in the Action tab lists, or tap Manage, select several lines and tap View to see them together. The page shows the line on a card with its letter and station count, and the station list below.

Pick Plan, Profile or 3D at the top; switching fits the view. Home (the house) levels and fits it again. The expand button opens the full-screen viewer in landscape.

Moving around: Gestures differ between Plan and 3D.
  • One finger: pan in Plan, orbit in 3D.
  • Two fingers: drag to pan, pinch to zoom.
  • In the full-screen viewer, a tap with no tool open hides every control; tap again to bring them back.
The tool strip: Profile swaps Scans for a time and distance switch.
Under the line name (on the card) or down the right side (full screen): Measure (ruler), Survey tools (compass), Scans (cube), Layers and View (eye). Profile shows a Time | Distance switch instead (the clock or the arrows in full screen) and has no Scans. One bar opens at a time, below the map.
The compass: Appears only on north-locked lines.
Top right in Plan and 3D, when a line in view is north-locked and the Compass layer is on. N is true north; H is the way the line started, with its bearing. It turns as you orbit the 3D view. Tap it for a reminder of what H means.
The XYZ gizmo: One tap to a clean straight-on view.
Bottom left in 3D. Tap Z to look straight down, or an X or Y arm to look from that side.
The scale bar: Exact in Plan, approximate off-center in 3D.
Bottom right in Plan and 3D, in round lengths. Exact in Plan; in 3D, exact at the center of the view.
