Measure and Survey

Measure, survey numbers, saving and stations.

Measure: Which tools each view offers, and how taps snap.
Taps snap to a station within reach, or else the nearest point on a line; anywhere else says "Tap on the line or a station".
  • Plan: Single and Multi (map distance), Height (vertical and level).
  • 3D: Single and Multi (true 3D distance), Height and Angle, drawn as a triangle and arc.
  • Profile, Distance: Single, Multi, Height and Angle (slope).
  • Profile, Time: Height only.
Survey tools: Book-style numbers, including loop misclosure.
  • Shot (Plan, 3D): A to B gives distance, bearing and inclination, like a survey book. True bearings on north-locked lines; otherwise marked (line frame).
  • Along (all views): the distance following the line between two points, next to the straight distance. Points on different lines give the straight distance only.
  • Height (all views): one point gives its height from the start of its line and how far along it is.
  • Closure (Plan, 3D): tap the same spot surveyed twice for the misclosure and its percentage of the path between, or the gap if they're on different lines.
  • Area (Plan): tap around an outline for its plan area and perimeter.

Profile has Along and Height on the Distance axis, Height only on Time.

Save and Clear: Saved readings are labeled with the line and view.
Each measure bar reads Save, tools, Clear. Save keeps the readout as a Measure note, on its station when it has one, labeled with the line and the view (Save Measurements and Notes). The eraser clears the points.
Stations below the map: Each opens a page with photo, notes and splays.
Each line's stations, in a list you can expand or collapse. Swipe or press and hold a station to rename or delete it (deleting unassigns its photos and scans). Tap one for its page: photo, notes, splays and assigned media.
