Hike
Map style, coordinates, cadence.
Map: Pick the map that suits the terrain.
Standard, Hybrid, Satellite or Topo. Topo lays OpenTopoMap over Apple's map, good in the backcountry. Needs signal to load. You can also switch it from the map itself (Hike Line).
Coordinates: Share coordinates the way others read them.
Decimal degrees, DMS, UTM or MGRS, on the map, pins and shares (Hike Pins).
Cadence: Applies to every Hike Line you record.
How often the Hike Line records a GPS point. Fine is smoother; Coarse uses less storage. See 2.1.1 Set Up and Walk.
Route: Save the hike's GPS route to Apple Health.
On saves the hike's GPS route to Apple Health with the workout, so the trail shows on its map. Off saves the workout without the route. See 1.5.2 Apple Health.
