GPS and the hike in.
GPS won't lock: Find open sky and stand still for a fix.
Why. GPS needs a view of the sky. Cliffs and heavy trees block it, and it doesn't work underground.
Fix. Move to open ground and stand still for 10 to 15 seconds.

External GPS not showing: Steps to get the receiver feeding location.
Why. iOS has to pair the receiver before SpeleoMap can use it, and some receivers only work inside their maker's app.
Fix. Pair it in iOS Settings, Bluetooth, then turn on GPS Receiver in Settings, Devices settings and tap Check receiver outside. The card shows EXTERNAL GPS when it's feeding location.
