8.2.1 · Share and Export
Send To
Device or desktop, and the file each export makes.
Open Export: Where every export starts.
On the Details tab tap Export. The list shows what this project can send: Project Bundle and PDF Report (and Rescue after a rescue), then Survey, Map / GIS, Trail, 3D, Media, Notes and Training. A row only shows when the project has something for it. Tap a row, pick what goes in, and tap Export at the bottom.
Send to: The first choice on every export.
SpeleoMap device makes SpeleoMap files for another iPhone or iPad with the app. Desktop makes plain files for a computer (Survex, Therion, GIS and 3D apps), always in one .zip. Each row shows what it will make before you tap it.
What each export makes: Device file, then desktop file.
- Project Bundle: .speleobundle, or a .zip (8.2.2 Project Bundle).
- PDF Report: the same PDF either way (8.2.3 PDF Report).
- Survey: .speleosurvey, or .svx, .th and .csv (8.2.4 Survey).
- Map / GIS: .speleogis, or .kml and .geojson; Trail: .speleotrail, or .gpx and .kml (8.2.5 Map and Trail).
- 3D: .speleo3d, or .obj, .ply and .usdz (8.2.6 3D).
- Media: .speleomedia, or photos and videos; Notes: .speleonote, or .txt and rangefinder.csv; Training: .speleoworkout, or a .csv per session (8.2.7 Media, Notes and Training).
Pick what goes in: Switches first, then lists.
Switches for formats and extras sit at the top; lists of lines, scans, photos and the rest follow. Each list shows how many are picked, such as 3 of 5. Tap its title to open or close it, and use Select All or Deselect All.
Save or share it: AirDrop, Mail or Files.
When it's ready the share sheet opens: AirDrop it, send it in Messages or Mail, or Save to Files. To find it again, see 8.4 Finding Your Files.
Environment readings: Only appears when you've logged readings.
With a sensor, each station and pin keeps its air reading: env columns in the station and pin CSVs, properties in GeoJSON, a line in KML and GPX. The bundle adds environment.csv, one row per reading. No readings, no extra columns.
